What’s New At MMH

We’re bringing in the New Year with a bang!  We want to make 2005 the biggest and best year for MMH Members. You will find fun Friday night “Meet and Greet” and fun Saturday activities to attend.  Don’t miss Game Night the last Thursday of every month! 

We want to see all of you in 2005, so mark your calendars and kick those New Year’s Resolutions in gear, it will guarantee you find friendship and fellowship in the New Year!                                                               

 

Are you tired of your same old look? Feel like you need a sassy new look to welcome the change in seasons? MMH is here to help!  OKC and Tulsa MMH will be sponsoring “Update Your Look” nights in March. Debra Streight, makeup consultant will help you figure out the right colors for your wardrobe as well as give you tips with your makeup and hair.  Complimentary personal makeovers will also be scheduled for those who attend the workshop.  The workshop in Tulsa is Thursday, March 3rd at 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday, March 10th at 7:00 p.m. in Oklahoma City.  We do require you to RSVP for this workshop since Ms. Streight will be traveling to our offices for the workshop.  We look forward to seeing you there!

 

 

 

 

 

Being happily married in England in the 12th century was as good as winning the lottery. The husband and wife in each county who could prove that they had been the most joyously devoted to each other would win a side of cured and salted bacon.  Oddly enough, the winners were selected by a jury of six bachelors and six unmarried women. The jurors quizzed the contestants on all manners of domestic issues and selected the happiest-sounding pair from amid the responses.  The lucky newlyweds literally “took home the bacon.”  Although the contest ended in the late 19th century, the phrase has continued in use.
